Jeff Moore, Senior Pastor

nullJeff was born on September 23, 1971, in Waco, TX. He did not attend church regularly until he was 13 years old. He accepted Jesus as His Savior and Lord at a Power Team event held at his junior high school in the Fall of 1985 at the age of 14. He was baptized at Lakeview Baptist in 1986. During his time at Lakeview Baptist, he became very involved in the youth ministry and was mentored by his youth pastor Barry Scott.

As a result, he surrendered to ministry at a Youth Evangelism Conference in 1990. His first ministry was at Lakeview Baptist as youth pastor when his mentor moved away. Since that time, Jeff has served the Lord in various churches and ministry roles for the past 28 years. He graduated from Baylor University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. Then, he became a licensed minister in November 2002 and was ordained into full-time ministry upon graduation from SouthWestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010.

Shenandoah Baptist is Jeff’s second church serving as Senior Pastor. He began his ministry here on December 24, 2017, after 5 years of serving as Senior Pastor of Baptist Temple in Edna, TX.

Jeff married his best friend Catherine on April 25, 1998, and they have two children: Nicholas and Megan.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoys walking with his family, riding his bicycle, watching sports (Baylor Bears, Houston Texans, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs, and the Olympics), and reading a wide variety of Christian, mystery, and suspense books.

His favorite verse is Matthew 19:26 where Jesus says, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
